Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, a non-profit, public interest law firm, is seeking an exceptional individual with off-the-charts customer service and organizational skills. This individual will work as part of a team of attorneys and advocates dedicated to providing legal assistance to casino and other workers pursuant to an employee benefit program. No prior legal experience is necessary, but it is a definite plus. This individual will need solid computer skills and must be able to juggle multiple tasks and personalities. The candidate will schedule appointments, complete data entry, and direct clients to the appropriate department. Above all, this individual must be able to thrive in a positive, client-focused, solution-oriented team atmosphere where Legal Aid Center’s mission of preserving access to justice and providing quality legal services is always front and center.

Requirements

Candidate must have 3 years previous experience working in an office environment, data entry, customer service specialist, or equivalent. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish. Comfortable with new technology and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. Ability to multitask and work effectively with individuals from diverse economic, cultural, and social backgrounds under sometimes-stressful circumstances. Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability deal compassionately with individuals facing legal issues.

Salary is dependent upon experience with annual increases available. Our benefits include 100% employer paid health insurance for an employee, spouse and dependents up to 26 years old. A 403B match dollar for dollar up to 5% of an employee’s salary after 12 months of employment, 12 weeks paid parental leave, and generous paid time off policy.
