Law Clerk FAQs

When are the start and end dates?

A typical clerkship lasts from the beginning of each semester’s academic calendar to the week prior to the commencement of final examinations; however, we're flexible and willing to develop a mutually agreed upon start and end date at the time of hiring.

When do you accept applications?

We post our open positions approximately three months prior to the start of the academic semester of the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. You can find the open positions, when posted, at www.lacsn.org/careers. We hire on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to check the available positions frequently.

How are work assignments determined?

Your supervising attorney will work with you to arrange a variety of assignments based on your preference and the needs of the firm.

Are salaries competitive?

We pay our law clerks $18 per hour.
